The first person to tell me tell went and saw the movie, I swear… The movie doesn’t do the book justice! The book is-well-one of the greatest written books I’ve ever read. This book will make you feel many things: happy, sadness, anger, jealousy, hopefulness, ect. It will have you laughing and then hysterically crying all in one turn of the page. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this author before this book was published.
I do admit there are some times where you want to throw the book at the wall and scream. The story follows a quadriplegic man, Will Traynor, and Louisa Clark. Lou is employed by Will’s parents to ‘be his friend’. They really have nothing in common, but they become great friends. Then Lou finds out that Will is trying to go to Switzerland to get a controversial procedure that will end his life. Lou wants to leave at first but then is determined to make him want to stay by showing him what the world can offer. I won’t spoil it for you but you NEED to go pick up this book. Like NOW.
I give this book a 10/10. It is beautifully written and again, will make you feel almost every emotion. Happy Readings!
